Reunion

Just had my 20 year. It was a really fun weekend. Especially talking with Staci, Shannon, Tami, Marcella, Kathy and their spouses. Here are few snapshots...

Backyard Haven

While David was in China, Mom and I decorated the outside. I am loving my new outdoor room. While the kids play outside everyday, I grab a book and read in my special new space.

Saturday, May 29th

We drove to Concordia, Kansas to take Mom to meet Dad. We had a picnic in the park and then headed back to Lincoln. Mom, thanks for a great visit.

Kindergarten Graduation Tuesday, May 26th

Our first-born is headed to first grade! Yep, Darby graduated Kindergarten. Mom, Fletcher, Leo and I were all there to celebrate her special mass. Then we all went to Dairy Queen for a cone and presents (any excuse for gifts). We love our little Catholic school girl.

Night out at Cabaret

Okay, the picture shows Mom and I at the beginning of the night. Four martinis later, the show ended and I began hanging with the actors/musicians and NOT Mom. Oh crap, it got crazy. Two more martinis and I was completely uninhibited. I went out dancing with the gang at a gay bar. It was like the 90's relived (okay, I'm three kids and an 11 year marriage later, but you get my point). I had soooooo much fun and was soooo stupid. I spoke louder than any human should. I repeated everything I said to everyone who would listen. I found myself completely charming and hilarious. That's when you know you are out of control. So thanks friends for patiently dealing with my wackiness that night.

In other news, Cabaret Oldtown has a great show up now. "The Andrews Brothers" is fun, energetic and has some great music. Go see it!

Actual Dance Recital, May 16th

She was perfect. She was the only one who knew every step and she led the other girls. I was proud of her for every little thing.

My funny Fletcher

Fletcher came home from Preschool today and announced she was going to start calling Darby "Darby 3-D". I asked her why and she said, "Because, she's always up in my face".

Today Fletcher announced that I smell fresh, like I had a good night's sleep.

Fletcher thinks that Luke at school is the luckiest boy in school because he saw a rainbow and "really believes it was real". She then shook her head and said, "Luke is so silly." (all of this lead to her explaining that she thinks rainbows are imaginary like Tinkerbell and God's promises.)

A few hours ago she walked into Leo's bedroom and asked if his room would always smell like poop and boys. I honestly replied, "Yes".
